Global Resorts Network founders looked to develop an opportunity in the home based travel industry a few years ago. They saw several programs selling travel agent programs and only one company offering a travel club membership program. Global Resorts Network (GRN) saw that the travel club membership offered by that organization lacked internet access to resorts and customer service among other things. The founders of Global Resorts Network saw that organization experience tremendous Success with what they saw as a very limited product.
Alfonso Morales and Charles Tomlin were unable to secure a U S Based and Owned vacation club company to supply membership products to Global Resorts Network and they turned to a company who offered the next best thing.
While Gold Crown Resorts was not a brand name, many who own timeshares think they know the company. Thats because the RCI designation for top resorts are referred to as Gold Crown Resorts. It gives the company Gold Crown Resort a name people think they have heard of even though there is no corporate relationship between the RCI Gold Crown Resorts and the company Gold Crown Resort.
Larger vacation club companies who offered better selection for Americans had secured most of the retail outlets and Gold Crown Resort did not seem able to compete with those companies in the U S. Global Resorts Network seemed the best way for Gold Crown Resort to increase market share in a growing market.
At the time of the arrangement between Global Resorts Network and Gold Crown Resort it seemed like a partnership made in heaven. When Global Resorts Network hit the home based business MLM marketplace with the Gold Crown Resort product, business exploded. After all, while the Gold Crown Resort membership was not perfect for the American market, it was much better than the only competing travel club membership in the MLM marketplace. The only competitor for Global Resorts Network at that time provided certificates that members needed to mail in and a series of membership cards that were confusing and difficult to use. The internet booking engines of Gold Crown Resort were no match for the old way of doing things.
